Landschaftsfenster Tange - Lieblingsort

In 2001, on the occasion of the state horticultural show in Bad Zwischenahn, five so-called "landscape windows" were installed in the Ammerland, which are devoted to various typical regional features.

In Apen, in the district of Tange, there is the “tower of the dike judge”. It focuses on the abundance of water in the community, through which a number of waterways lead, which, depending on the tide, are connected to the North Sea via Jümme, Leda and Ems. The observation tower is at the local "Dreiländereck", where the Ammerland, East Frisia and the district of Cloppenburg meet. While these neighbors used to be at war with each other, people today live very peacefully and amicably with each other and enjoy the view from the tower into the Barßeler Tief, a feeding and breeding biotope for water birds.
The favorite place has been given a cheerful, lively wall of flowers that thematizes the beauty of nature. It was she who made this place a favorite. Here you can enjoy the tides, wind and tranquility.
