Vreschen-Bokel chapel
The small chapel was built on a Wurt in 1456 and was for a long time the only prayer house in Apens alongside St. Nikolai Church. After the Reformation it fell into disrepair and was restored under Count Anton Günther. Most of the furnishings date from the Baroque period. The organ was only installed in the 20th century. As usual for the region, the bell tower is free. The stone building from 1858 replaced a previous wooden building from the early 18th century.
